About Alicia
I believe that an understanding of basic math is crucial for financial independence and that when lessons can be tailored to students' individual needs, they should.
I have four years of experience helping my peers in high school with their math homework, and I help my younger brother with his kindergarten math homework. I had A+ averages in my algebra classes.
I intend to use what I learn through tutoring to improve my teaching skills. I am considering becoming a teacher or full-time private tutor.

I specialize in test prep; however, I can also teach a full curriculum of any of the subjects that I teach.
The lessons are for English-speaking students in grade school or pursuing post-secondary education who have a stable internet connection. They will be held through Zoom or Skype.
I tailor lessons to students' specific academic needs. Because of this tailoring, I appreciate advance notice about those needs, and any relevant neurodiversity. I use information about neurodiversity to create and give the lessons.
Before beginning a lesson, I assess how well students already understand the material that I am about to teach, and, during it, I pay close attention to where students are struggling and where they are excelling.
