About Calvin

Hello! I am Calvin. An English teacher certified with Trinity London. I was born and raised in Windsor, England and completed my teaching degree in 2015 before immigrating to South America and then Spain. I have taught in public and private schools, colleges and universities in the UK, Colombia and Spain, helping others achieve their English goals.

About the lesson

Fun classes, with a balance of all the elements of the exam and knowledge of how to pass.

Classes include access to the digital book. If you want to buy the physical book, that's fine too, but not necessary as all materials will be provided.

Classes will range in size from one student to six students maximum. This will greatly help students to prepare for the exam, as a large part of the marks come from conversations in pairs. (If you would like private classes, the one on one price is £15. But I highly recommend the group classes for the pair work).

Classes will cover all areas of the exam (speaking, listening, writing, reading and using English) and will give students ample practice and insights/guides on how to get the most out of each section.

Classes will include mock exams and evaluations, giving the student feedback on their strengths, where they need improvement, and ultimately, when they are ready to take the exam.

Calvin prepared me for my Cambridge FCE and Advanced exams. He is a great teacher and person, I really enjoy his classes and he helped my bad pronunciation so much. He is very knowledgeable about the exams, I would not have passed without him.

Calvin is a great teacher. I took regular classes with him for a year because I was getting rusty after graduating from university. I liked them so much that I decided to study with him for my advanced certificate and passed :) I will miss our discussions about music Calvin!

I have taken group classes with teacher Calvin for the last 3 years and my English has improved so much because of them. His classes are interesting, he corrects me when necessary but helped me to get over my fear of making mistakes. Next year I will prepare for my First Certificate for entry to the University :) Thank you Calvin

Calvin is my favourite teacher ever :) We first met in 2016 when he prepared me for my PET and then he was my teacher again two years ago when I was studying for my First Certificate.

Mr Davies always prepared fun classes and I really enjoyed learning with him. I stress very easily and he always made very big, complicated things seem much smaller and simpler. I would recommend him to anyone. Thank you Calvin :)
