About Roze
As an experienced tutor with degrees from Cal Poly SLO and Santa Barbara City College, along with schooling experience in Fiji, I bring a diverse understanding of educational systems. I'm adept at tailoring lessons to meet varying academic needs and fostering effective learning across different cultures and environments. I have a passion for learning, which often is not developed in the United States, where standardized testing is prevalent. I ensure that the topic is understood thoroughly, rather than memorized.
When it comes to any topic, it is important to ask yourself "can I explain this well to a 5 year old", if you can't, you don't know the topic well enough. Even when it comes to complicated engineering concepts, that question must be asked, and that is what I base my lessons on and how I learn anything.
