About Alex
New teacher giving lessons in mathematics for the first time.
Past experience giving private cello lessons for five years. My philosophy on teaching is whenever a student doesn't understand something that does not mean the student failed to understand, that means I have failed to explain the subject, and must find the right explanation for the student.

I'm currently working toward my Master of Science degree in Mathematics with an emphasis on algebraic topology. Additionally I have four bachelor of science degrees in mathematics, physics, astronomy, and microbiology. I've worked professionally as an astrophysicist and as a microbiologist. I have a great interest in the study of calculus and with my diverse background I like to apply math to many real world situations which makes it much more fun!
