About Gracie
My name is Gracie, I am sixteen years old and a high school graduate. I will be going to college this fall and studying Elementary Education, and I love working with kids! I am patient, smart, and computer literate. I know how much a tutor would have helped me as a student in school, so I would love to help others!

My goal is to make learning feel simple, clear, and less stressful. I focus on helping students actually understand the material instead of just memorizing steps, so they can feel more confident in school on their own. I adapt my teaching style based on how each student learns best. I use:
- Step-by-step explanations for difficult topics
- Simple examples that connect to real life
- Practice problems done together first, then independently
- Encouragement and patience so students feel comfortable asking questions
- Breaking down confusing assignments into smaller, manageable parts
A usual session includes:
- Quick check-in on what the student is working on in school
- Review of any homework or problem areas
- Teaching/reviewing the topic step by step
- Guided practice together
- Independent practice to make sure they understand
- Quick recap and tips for what to focus on next
I understand what it’s like to be a student and feel stuck on certain topics, so I explain things in a way that feels relatable and easy to follow. I’m patient, supportive, and focused on helping students build confidence, not just finish assignments. I also make sure sessions are low-stress and focused on real understanding.
