About Connor
I firmly believe that any student can excel in maths and physics, given the right guidance and encouragement.
My goal is to create a friendly, relaxed atmosphere where we can approach topics collaboratively and holistically. Whether you’re struggling with a specific topic or require more general support, no student thinks in the same way, so my lessons will be personalised to your needs. This is an ongoing process, so I encourage students to be upfront about what is or isn't working for them!
Whilst my specialism is in quantum materials, I have a very broad education in most areas of physics, as well as topics in materials science, computer science and pure mathematics.

My preferred lesson format is 60 minutes, prepared in advance. However, this is flexible - finding what works best is a collaborative process. The precise structure of each lesson will be down to what you want from tutoring, and is something we can discuss.
At GCSE and A-level, my foremost goal is to establish a solid groundwork for each topic, approaching it from a number of different angles if necessary. I will then incorporate curated past paper questions, alongside conceptual questions to build familiarity for exams. I can also address revision and exam techniques if needed.
I’m also very happy, where possible, to support students at all levels exploring topics beyond their syllabus - although physics and maths necessitate mostly structured learning, a healthy irreverence for that process and a curiosity to explore what interests you can be a wonderful motivator and a serious advantage.
I offer:
• GCSE maths, further maths and physics.
• A-Level maths, further maths and physics.
• University admissions: exams and interview preparation (including practice interviews)
• Undergraduate physics (dependent on your course).
