About Tom
I love interacting with students and getting to know them! I also love mathematics and explaining it to people. I've spent many years teaching at University to all different ability ranges. What matters is that each student enjoys the session, feels safe, and actually understands something that they didn't before at the end of it.

Lessons are strongly student-focussed - I try to understand the individual and where they are at before tackling the maths! Then there are various different approaches to tackling the material e.g. maybe starting with some questions or topics the student is currently struggling with. Happy to have the pupil just come to me with things they are struggling with!
I've got many many years' of teaching experience at University (too many you might say!) and I've done GCSE tutoring in person. Lessons for GCSE and A-level students. Typical length 30 minutes up to 50 minutes.
