About Akshat
I am an Undergraduate Cambridge Engineer. I have achieved straights A*s and 9s in my 13 GCSEs and 3A*s and A for my A levels (Maths (A*), Further Maths(A*), Physics(A*) and History(A)) from QE Boys.
I love spreading my knowledge and experience and hence have tutored several Maths students in Year 9 and above to get through the International Maths Challenge and Physics Challenge. My student last year achieved the highest mark in his school and Gold Medal in the national Olympiad, putting him in the top 6% of Mathematicians in the country.
I have tutored 11+ kids, who have achieved the goal that they want, going to the school of their choice including Tiffins Girls.
I have also tutored kids Maths at a local Barnet Primary and have teaching experience with children of all ages.

The essence of my teaching style is to ask myself "How would I have taught myself this given another opportunity". I can relate to having uninspiring and boring teachers who spew information at you without actually making you UNDERSTAND.
My goal is to be the exact opposite and is centred around gaining a deeper understanding of all the concepts to be able to apply them effectively. As an aspiring engineer I always like to learn through applications and I think that is the best way to learn subjects as such as Physics and Maths. My lessons will look at how things work in real life to be able to gain a deeper understanding of the fundamental principles and contrary to the tense and stressful atmosphere at school, my lessons will be very relaxed and amicable to be able to teach you how I wish I had been taught; in a fun, yet effective manner.
I am happy to teach Maths and Physics at all levels of schooling and can teach all sciences below GCSE level.
Having just learnt the new A level specifications for Maths, Further Maths and Physics, I know it like the back of my hand and can relay that knowledge very effectively. I have access to and knowledge of all the appropriate resources available for the new specification and having undergone the whole revision process rigorously to get a secured A* in all these subjects. I know exactly how to most effectively use the resources available for the new specification which a lot of the other tutors will not be familiar with and will not be able to teach in as much depth as I will be able to.
I am also very keen to help other aspiring Cambridge Engineers get through the entrance process and having successfully gotten through the ENGAA exam and the interview, I have lots of tips and tricks to share on how to revise and prepare yourself to stand the best chance to gain entry into Cambridge Engineering.

It takes so much more than intelligence to be a good tutor.
As someone who has used many tutors throughout my school life I believe that it
takes the following:
1. Adaptability
2. Patience
3. The ability to cater to every child’s needs
4. To make learning fun and enjoyable
These are all qualities which Akshat and which I have seen in him through informally tutoring my younger brother, Harry, through his GCSEs. He is extremely intelligent, but, perhaps more importantly, he has so much patience and understanding of the learning process that I cannot think of anyone better to be a tutor.
Akshat is one of the most hard working and approachable people I know. He will undoubtedly make a great tutor because of his passion for learning and teaching. His determination will mean that he leaves no stone unturned to help his tutee
Akshat is an aspiring engineer with exceptional mathematical skills and is always hardworking and dedicated to any given task to him. He is kind and considerate when talking to others and is very punctual.
Akshat is a fantastic friend to me and has always gone out of his way to listen to me when I've needed his help and offer his support. I know he aims to mirror this in his work as a tutor, going above and beyond to help his students. Oh, and he's decent at maths.
