About Adib
I'm Adib, an 18-year-old from Nottingham heading to the University of Cambridge this October to study Engineering. I've just finished my A-levels in Maths, Further Maths and Physics, so the content — and the pressure of the exams — is fresh in my mind.
I got into tutoring by working with one student one-to-one across a full academic year, and by running a problem-solving club for others. What I enjoy most is the moment something finally clicks for a student after they'd convinced themselves they "just can't do maths" — usually it's not ability, it's one missing foundation nobody went back to fix. That's the gap I look for first.
Outside of study I'm into football, basketball, running, weightlifting and hiking — I bring the same mindset to tutoring: consistent work, done properly, beats cramming every time. I'm reliable, straightforward, and I'll always be honest with you about where you stand and what it'll take to get where you want to be.

I tutor GCSE and A-level Maths, Further Maths and Physics (AQA specialist, comfortable with other boards). I hold an offer to study Engineering at the University of Cambridge, already have an A in AS Further Maths, and sat the full A-levels this summer — so I know the current specifications, mark schemes and exam technique first-hand, not from memory.
My approach is step-by-step and concept-first. I don't just show you the method — I make sure you understand why it works, because that's what holds up under exam pressure when a question looks unfamiliar. Lessons typically start by finding the gaps, then building fluency through past-paper questions with proper mark-scheme technique.
I've spent a full year tutoring one student one-to-one, and I also ran a problem-solving club — so I'm used to two things: adapting explanations until they click for an individual, and pushing stronger students with harder, less routine questions. That covers both ends, whether you're trying to close a gap or aiming well beyond the syllabus.
Lessons are one hour as standard, online or in person around Nottingham. Suitable for GCSE students of all abilities and A-level students aiming for top grades — including anyone preparing for Oxbridge or other competitive university applications in maths, physics or engineering.
