About Sophie
Friendly and approachable Cambridge graduate, with both an undergrad and masters degree from this university. I'm excited to improve both grades and the whole experience of learning. Having been through the same school system recently, I have the motivation to help you succeed!
With my own experience of 1-to-1 and small-group teaching, I know exactly what works well. The best results come from having a friendly relationship between tutors and students, where you'll learn and remember much more, and feel more comfortable to ask any questions you need to improve understanding and confidence.
I like to work through questions together with students, which is the best tutoring method: this practice is what builds confidence, ultimately resulting in exam success.
I achieved top grades in Maths, Chemistry and Music at A-Level, so I'm passionate and knowledgeable about both maths and science subjects, but I also have a passion for humanities. This balance will be important in tutoring sessions as I can draw on a broad range of knowledge to help tackle any particular problems that crop up in a session!
