About Mary
I have 135 credits in Computer Science courses from the University of Colorado and am currently a mathematics student at Cambridge University. I have experience tutoring children with special needs, as well as volunteering to teach at high schools in the US. I believe these experiences, in addition to my academic and research work, have taught me how to explain and teach in a clear, flexible, and fun way.

I teach by providing first a solid foundation in formulas and theory, and then building on those basics by progressively introducing nuance and more challenges. I believe in student’s innate critical thinking abilities and I ask lots of questions in order to strengthen this skill. That said, the most important part of teaching for me is customization. I aim to listen to the student and adapt my approach to how they learn best.
