About Bruce
I am a Cambridge graduate in Natural Sciences (Chemistry) and an Oxford doctoral graduate in Materials Science. In addition I studied three years of Medicine in Rome and have an LLB in Law. Having lived in Spain, Italy and Switzerland, I also speak Spanish and Italian. I enjoy pushing students and seeing when they grasp a topic.

My teaching style is very patient, and I enjoy working with both high achievers and students struggling with a subject. I am able to easily adjust my teaching style in order to meet the level and needs of the student. Furthermore I can teach topics from scratch, provide refreshers or recaps, or focus more on using the student's existing skills and knowledge to solve problems, as required by the student's level of attainment. I build confidence and skills in exam technique by attempting problems together, reinforcing the student's knowledge and showing them the limited number of ways questions can usually be presented. I have experience working and tailoring my classes to students with additional needs such as dyslexia, ASD or ADHD.
