About Tarek
Hello, I'm Tarek. I'm currently student Biological Natural sciences at the University of Cambridge. I studied A-level chemistry, biology, maths, and further maths and achieved 3A*s and an A respectively. I did the new AQA specifications for biology and chemistry and so am very familiar with their structure and what exactly is required of the student. I tutored many people in my year group for free in chemistry and biology, and managed to get them As in the end (they were getting C/D grades).
In terms of structure of the lessons, I'll start by asking for a list of all topics covered at school and how confident the student is at each topic. Then I'll go through the specification with them, ensuring they know it inside out. Next I'll move onto the 'teaching' segment of the lesson where I explain the topic to the student, and they're able to ask any questions along the way. I'll finish on a couple of past exam paper questions related to the topic to ensure that the student's exam skills are perfect too.
Once we get closer to exams, I'll help the student plan their revision and tell them exactly what and how to revise for the exams.
I can also help with Oxbridge admissions as I am currently a student at Cambridge. I have been to many summer schools and courses so am familiar with many of the admissions tests. I also have had Oxbridge interviews for Natural Sciences previously so can conduct a mock interview, then give feedback to the student.
