About James
I am an incoming 3rd year Natural Sciences student at the University of Cambridge. I specialise in Chemistry but have experience in evolutionary biology and materials science as well. I love it when students in the lower years ask for help as it feels very rewarding to watch them begin to understand the complex ideas behind what they're learning. Teaching also allows me to consolidate my knowledge of the more simpler topics, which allows for greater fluency and a stronger foundation with these more complex ideas.

During the first session I will aim to understand the student's optimal method for learning. This could be going through questions together, or the student bringing me questions once they have completed the work themselves, as an example. The typical lesson would be 50-60 minutes, but this can be adapted to suit the student's needs. I have helped my brother with his GCSE maths and chemistry exams, as well as being someone that people would ask for help from in school. My lessons are targeted to GCSE Maths and Science (triple or combined), and A Level Maths and Chemistry. I did do A Level further maths, and can help with it, but I am not completely confident in all the material.
