About Mia

I am Mia—an undergraduate student at Cambridge—who has achieved top GCSE and A Level grades. I believe the best guidance you can receive when studying comes from someone who has recently and successfully completed the same journey. As a tutor for four years, I have developed a passion for teaching and helping students tackle their weak spots and uncertainties, offering reassurance because I have been in their position. Tutoring is something I truly enjoy because it allows me to make a difference and strengthen students’ confidence in their academic abilities.

About the lesson

I achieved 9s in my GCSEs and achieved all A*s and As in my A levels: Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Chemistry and Economics. I also secured and fulfilled a conditional offer from Cambridge University to read Land Economy starting October 2025. A LEVEL TUITION (Year 12-13) Having completed my A Levels in 2025 with top grades (A*s and As) in Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Chemistry, and Economics, I understand exactly what exam boards are looking for. I specialise in building solid conceptual understanding, exam technique, and structured essay writing for Economics. For Maths, Further Maths, and Chemistry, I provide clear explanations and problem-solving strategies tailored to your strengths and weaknesses. I can help with: A-level Maths and Further Maths topics - I studied the OCR exam boards, however for A Level maths I provide tuition services for any exam board due to the principles being identical A Level Chemistry- topics, practical techniques, and exam preparation (OCR A board) A Level Economics - teaching theory, showing application, and evaluation, and real life essay practice and marking for A-level essays LAND ECONOMY CAMBRIDGE APPLICATION SESSIONS (Year 12-14 (including gap year students)) If you would like to read Land Economy at Cambridge University, I would love to give you a helping hand into applications - everything from the personal statement to the interview - with individual guidance as somebody who only last year went through the entire process. I can offer personal statement sessions, mock interviews and provide an in-depth insight into the course, as the Oxbridge application process can often be overwhelming without any guidance. GCSE TUITION (Year 9 - 11) As somebody who achieved full marks in GCSE English literature, I have helped students move from grade 4s to grade 9s in GCSE English literature and language - I have a plethora of resources and essentially help students approach their GCSE texts with pre-planned essay points that take the heat of the exam - the more essay practice - the easier the exam becomes to achieve the top. I also offer tuition for the GCSE Sciences and Mathematics, as somebody who sat the real exams post-COVID, my advice, my grade 9 made documents and exam technique is invaluable and would save you hours of time. For GCSE level sciences and maths, it is imperative to have a strong understanding of all of the content, paired with an amazing exam technique and I provide coaching for both arenas.
