About Emily

I have always had a strong interest in subjects that involve critical thinking, analysis and constructing persuasive arguments, which led me to study History at the University of Cambridge.

My academic experience has given me a strong foundation in analysing complex ideas, evaluating different arguments and communicating them clearly, skills that are particularly valuable when studying A-Level Law.

I understand that A-Level Law can sometimes feel like a lot to take in. There are numerous legal principles, cases, statutes and areas of law to understand, alongside the challenge of applying your knowledge and constructing well-reasoned arguments under exam conditions. Knowing how to turn your understanding of the law into a strong exam answer can be difficult, even when you know the content well.

I aim to make this process feel much more manageable by breaking down complex legal concepts, helping students develop a clear understanding of the law and building the confidence needed to apply their knowledge effectively.

Whether you are struggling with particular topics, looking to improve your essay writing and evaluation, or aiming to push your grades higher, I want to help you approach A-Level Law with greater confidence and clarity.

About the lesson

Passionate about Law and looking for support with your A-Level studies? I offer online A-Level Law tutoring to help you build confidence, strengthen your understanding of the subject and prepare effectively for your exams.

I am a Cambridge University graduate, where I studied History. However, before this, I achieved an A* in A-Level Law during sixth form. Having successfully studied Law at A-Level myself, I understand the demands of the course and can offer guidance on both subject knowledge and exam technique.

I base lessons around the relevant exam board specification (AQA), ensuring that we focus on the topics, legal principles, cases and evaluation skills you need for your course and exams.
Every lesson is tailored to the individual student. We can focus on areas you find difficult, strengthen your understanding of key legal concepts and cases, improve essay writing and evaluation, practise exam questions, develop exam technique, consolidate your existing knowledge, or work through topics step-by-step.

Whether you are looking to build your confidence, improve your understanding of a particular area of Law, or push towards the highest possible grade, I will tailor each lesson to your individual needs and goals. My aim is to make A-Level Law feel more manageable, engaging and rewarding, while helping you develop the analytical and essay-writing skills needed to succeed.
