I have been giving lessons for a number of years, in maths and economics, voluntarily to a total of 5 pupils at my old school.
Most notably, one of my young tutees moved from a C to an A in his GCSE Maths final exam a few years ago.

My first session is free, to go over exactly what the tutee hopes to gain from our sessions.
After this, I follow a process of reviewing previous material, then teaching and testing new material, and finally summarising with a brief plenary, including setting further work if necessary.
I also have an enhanced DBS/CRB check.
