About Mary Kay
I am a 34-year veteran teacher. I am certified and hold a Master's degree in the Art of Teaching. My passion is to support and grow lifelong readers. I am trained in various Science of Reading-based reading curricula. As a public school teacher, I taught Kindergarten through 4th grade, although my passion is working with children in Kindergarten Readiness through 2nd grade. Reading is a lifelong journey, and Camp Safari Reading Adventure focuses on strengthening reading skills in a fun, interactive online experience.

Welcome to Camp Safari Reading Adventure! I am Mary Kay and I am a 34 year veteran teacher who focuses on targeted learning goals to create positive and engaging reading journey. All lessons are 30-40 minutes. During this time, lessons will focus on developing phonics and decoding, reading fluency, and comprehension growth. I am a certified teacher with a Master's degree in the Art of Teaching and Science of Reading trained. Camp Safari Reading Adventure focuses on grades Kindergarten Readiness through 2nd grade.
