About Frank
I am a student teacher studying secondary mathematics education at UTS. I have a over 3 years experience teaching maths 1on1, to small groups and to big classes. I have tutored students in maths from year 3 - 12 and am very familiar with the curriculum of all years including senior years (year 11/12). I also have experience teaching/tutoring overseas having taught english language (and a bit of maths) in Vietnamese schools!

With new students, I like to gauge the strengths/weaknesses and ability level across all topics in maths to be able to know where to prioritise focus on where to work on. I also like to work toward a goal with a student, usually something like a goal mark in an upcoming exam or assessment task. Once a goal is established then I can work with the student to tailor a plan to that specific task and how we can work together to maximise performance in that task. Moreover, I also like to discuss and plan with students what their study should look like outside of our sessions where they do not have my support right there with them.
