Tutoring Background:

My son, 14 years old, is a gifted program and plan to attend boarding school. So he prepared ISEE/SSAT, AMC and Advanced mathematics. I am a Korean, and Korean is really good at Math. I though he would be good at Math because he is Korean-American.

However he was not good. He solved math problems in his head not by his hands and brains. I hired tons of private tutors but failed - Many reasons but mostly private tutors also don't know how to teach, lead their students to get a higher score.

Therefore, I taught my son directly. Yes it was not easy but successful result. You might think my son is so clever to take my way of teaching. Unfortunately he was not clever in Math. For example, he solved -(3-x) as -3-X or (4-Y)(-5) as 4+Y. Funny, but this kind of typical mistake.. I have seen a lot in American students.

After couple of months intensive teaching, he changed. Math hating son changed into loving math to get a high score.

Therefore, I would like to share my teaching to children who look for 99% score. Math lesson in the US classes are really complicated and so difficult for students to understand. It is not concise and not an easy way to understand.

I will only teach Arithmetic, Algebra, Algebra 2, Geometry and ISEE/SSAT and AMC.

GMAT Testers: Math test is bonus for you. Invest your time with me about 12-18 times (2 hours/Time), then you will improve highest score you have ever had. I had GMAT test back in 1992,1993 and almost perfect scores.

I am not a native English speaker, so in case students hard to understand my English, I will bring my son to translate.

About the lesson

Whoever says, my purpose of teaching is just one. 99% of Scale. You will be top 1% in your math class or math test.

I will approach two ways;

1) My students will have 99% score or top 1% scale. They will have a confidence. My students would be math machine and multiple views to solve the problems.
2) Lead them to understand math theory very easy, especially to get the 99% score in US Math test.

I have my unique methodology to teach, which is based on teaching to my son.

Before hiring me, students shall give me a commitment to follow exactly what I say. In Math, there is no easy way to get a 99% Score. I will present you a shortcut and save your time to reach your goal.

Methodology
1) First Class - Capabilities Test. About 40-50 Questionnaires, 30 Seconds for Question.
2) Initial Evaluation Documentation - Analyze students' strengths/weakness
3) Present customized teaching curriculums - Recommended courses, frequencies and durations.
4) At the end of class, 10 Min 10 Questions Quiz will be presented.
5) At the end of every chapter, 40 Min 30 Questions Test will be presented.
6) At the end of every chapter, I will send parents the analysis paper - including how your children improved or how your children need to improve.
7) If my students don't keep the commitment, I will walk away. Prepaid tuition will be refunded.

For ISEE/SSAT intensive courses,
In each class, min 2 hours lessons are required. This teaching is only for in-person teaching.

Every class, there are handouts for further understanding with students name. It is very confidential and cannot be shared with anyone.

Travel fee will be changed based on how far I move. Usually $1/Mile (One Way)
For ISEE/SSAT, Min 2 Hours are required for each class.
First class for the evaluation test. I am not taking a package purchase without evaluation.
If Evaluation is worse than my standard, I might not take him/her as my students.
