Teaching actually helps me remain sharp for my own medical practice. Most people assume that memorizing facts is the primary way to succeed in complex science subjects. Instead, I teach students to synthesize information logically.
My 6 years of experience have taught me that conceptual understanding beats rote memorization every single time. I have helped 97 students navigate the circulatory system, immunology, and protein synthesis.
