About Sanjuanita

I typically work with busy professionals who are already juggling several instruments at once. My method is straightforward because I prioritize teaching for transfer so that one skill naturally pays off in the next.

Holding a Bachelor of Music from the University of Miami, I apply the same disciplined rigor to guitar that I use in all my work. I guide you through strumming patterns, complex scales, modes, and the essentials of tuning and maintenance. We also dive into reading tabs, songwriting, and the raw energy of power chords.

My sessions are designed for those who appreciate a no-nonsense, honest approach to their musical development. I expect my students to show up ready to build a solid foundation.

Struggling to find the right groove or timing when practicing solo is a common barrier. I fix this immediately. My lessons center on 8.0 out of 10 proficiency goals using custom backing tracks I create so you can practice your soloing at home. I break every technical hurdle into tiny, insultingly small parts to ensure they stick.

My 414 students have found that this building process works even when schedules are tight. I draw on my years of study to keep our sessions energetic and goal-oriented. Playing guitar should be a craft you own, not just a hobby you guess at.
