About Kate
French is FUN TO LEARN! My classes strive to make the learning 3 things: practically applicable material; individualized curriculum build, and; FUN! Creative art projects built around important historical figures and events, game-show style quizzes and tests, writing/reading assignments where the student gets to choose their subject material and then translate and discuss with teacher and others. Multimedia modalities are used frequently!

Fun engaging, activity-based lessons, that improve understanding of basic conversational French. Special help with grammar, mechanics & syntax. Sentence structure focus to improve writing skills, alongside creative projects that expand students' understanding of historical and cultural aspects of French & French Canadian culture. This training has a social studies/world history aspect that also helps to support learning in those core curricular studies.
