About Katy
I am currently an undergraduate student studying Cancer Biology and Immunology MSci at the University of Bristol. I have been tutoring for the last few years both independently and with the Coronavirus Tutoring Initiative, specifically in GCSE/A Level Biology, GCSE Maths, A Level Chemistry, GCSE English and GCSE History. I have also provided assistance with university applications and EPQs.
I have a passion for science, with real-life experience in the scientific field, something I love to pass on to students!

I gear my teaching around the student needs, creating a personalised plan which includes the use of a broad range of resources, from powerpoints to work sheets and exam questions. I have also learnt along the way that visual aids and active recall are really beneficial - especially in science - leading me to create a number of helpful diagrams and quizlets. Through my sessions, I also like to help the student find what revision and learning tools work for them and provide encouragement that will help them reach their full potential!
