About Chloe
I am a current Cancer Research PhD student at the Institute of Cancer Research in London, a world renowned institute for research and innovation. I am researching resistance mechanisms to treatment in colorectal cancer, using a multidisciplinary approach. Prior to this I graduated from the University of York with a First class degree in Biochemistry with a year working at AstraZeneca.
I am incredibly passionate about biological sciences, but have undertaken all sciences in the past. At GCSE I achieved 9A* and 1A grades and went on to pursue Maths, Biology, Chemistry and Physics at A-Level so am confident tutoring in all science subjects.
I have been tutoring during the entire course of my academic career so far and wish to continue alongside my research. I am enthusiastic about tailoring teaching to each student, and feel it is important to spend time and effort finding out how each student learns best in order to most effectively help their studies. I want the tutoring experience to feel like a friendly, safe and open environment to allow everyone to ask any questions, no matter how 'silly' they may feel.

My priority when tutoring is always improving and consolidating understanding for students, and making sure that teaching is tailored to the individual student's leaning style. I found the key to my educational success to date has been first having a solid understanding of the concepts, and then learning to apply those to exam questions. As such I try to apply this method in my tutoring.
I offer a wide range of help varying from exam question practice, experimental design help, discussions about key concepts etc at any level of complexity from basic understanding to more difficult concepts.
