About Lorenzo

I am an ESL teacher with a TESOL certification obtained in Windsor, Ontario. I have over 3 years of ESL teaching experience including classes in public schools, private English centers, individual tutoring as well as math and science classes to ESL students. My students have ranged from 4 years old to adults, many of whom were preparing to take the IELTS or other assessment tests. I also have a bachelor's degree in computer science from the University of Windsor, and have privately tutored high school students in math and science.

About the lesson

For ESL, my teaching methods involve creating an atmosphere that allows students to feel comfortable enough to open up and talk. I treat many lessons like conversations and include many activities or games, depending on the student, so that it doesn't feel like a lesson, yet the student comes away with a stronger sense of confidence in speaking, listening to, writing and reading English. I like to get to know my students and for them to get to know me. I specialize in pronunciation and debate skills. We will have practice debates about a variety of topics and after working with me, you will sound much closer to a native English speaker.

My classmates and I used to feel free when he taught us, language barrier seemed disapear. He brought us lessons about the familiar subjects that we could easy to learn and apply in reality.
