About Emma
I’m an experienced careers coach with a background in both education and recruitment. I’ve spent over 10 years working in schools and colleges, including as a Careers Lead, alongside more than 20 years in recruitment, so I understand both the education system and what employers are actually looking for.
I’ve worked with a wide range of students — from those who are clear on their goals to those who feel completely unsure where to start. I know how overwhelming the choices can feel, and how easy it is to get stuck between “too many options” and “no real direction”.
My approach is calm, practical and honest. I won’t overcomplicate things or rely on generic advice. Instead, I focus on helping students make sense of their options, build confidence, and move forward with something that feels clear and achievable.
I genuinely enjoy helping students find their direction — and more importantly, feel confident about it.

I offer structured, one-to-one career coaching designed to give students clear, practical direction — particularly where school or college support has felt too general or limited.
Sessions are typically 60 minutes and tailored to the individual. We focus on what actually matters: realistic next steps, strong applications, and understanding how decisions are made by employers, universities and apprenticeship providers. This can include CVs, personal statements (including UCAS), and where and how to apply effectively.
With a background in both education and over 20 years in recruitment, I bring a different perspective. I don’t just explain options — I help students understand what works in the real world, what stands out, and where they may be unintentionally holding themselves back.
My approach is straightforward, supportive and honest. By the end of a session, students leave with a clearer plan, more confidence, and something tangible they can act on — not just ideas, but direction.
