About Kirsty
Hello! I’m Kirsty, an educator and the founder of Happy Minds. I hold a Master’s degree in Education specialising in Psychology of Education, an Honours degree in Psychology, and a PGCE. My academic and professional background brings together psychology, education and neuroscience, with a particular focus on understanding how young people learn and develop within educational environments.
I believe that every learner is different, yet students are often expected to succeed without ever being taught how to learn. My approach is therefore practical, personalised and focused on equipping learners with skills they can use independently - not simply helping them get through their next test.
Whether we are working on study skills, academic goals, career decisions or navigating school challenges, I aim to create a supportive environment where students feel heard, encouraged and empowered.
My goal is simple: to help young people become confident, capable and independent learners - because when students understand their minds, they can begin to believe in themselves.

Not sure what comes after school? You're not alone. Career guidance sessions provide a supportive space for teenagers to explore their interests, strengths, values, personality and aspirations while considering possible subject choices, tertiary education options and career pathways.
Sessions are conversational, reflective and personalised. Informal, non-diagnostic tools may be used to encourage self-reflection and stimulate discussion, helping learners gain greater clarity about themselves and the possibilities available to them.
Rather than telling a student what career they should choose, the goal is to equip them with the information, self-awareness and confidence to make informed decisions for themselves. Sessions are aimed primarily at secondary-school learners and are conducted in English, with online sessions available internationally.
