About Kennedy

Before teaching, I spent years working in the music industry on the business side, which gave me practical insight into what actually helps a singer build a genuine, sustainable career. That business background shapes my teaching heavily since I care just as much about a student's career readiness as I do about their pure vocal technique. I bring real industry knowledge into lessons that purely academically trained vocal coaches often simply do not have access to themselves. Students who study with me tend to have real professional ambitions and appreciate having a coach who understands the practical realities of the modern music business. I stay closely connected to current industry trends and platform algorithms because this practical knowledge changes constantly, and I want my guidance to remain genuinely current and useful. Eleven years into this specialized practical approach, nothing satisfies me more than watching a former student actually book a real professional opportunity using skills we built together.

About the lesson

My teaching goes beyond pure vocal technique into the genuinely practical business side of building a real singing career in today's competitive digital landscape. Alongside standard technical training covering breath support and tone I help students plan and record simple demo tracks that actually represent their voice accurately to industry professionals. We discuss social media presence and content strategy openly since I believe modern singers need a genuine online presence alongside strong technical skill to find real opportunities. I bring in practical knowledge about audition preparation industry etiquette and basic contract awareness that most purely technical vocal coaches never actually cover with their students. Mock audition and mock interview scenarios happen regularly so students feel genuinely prepared for the non technical realities of pursuing music professionally. I encourage students to think of their voice as part of a larger personal brand which shapes how we approach repertoire choices and overall artistic identity. This practically minded career focused approach suits students with real professional ambitions who want more than just technical training from their vocal lessons.
