About Magnus
I am a passionate saxophone tutor with more than 7 years of experience teaching college students. I believe music education should be structured, enjoyable, and motivating. My teaching approach focuses on helping students understand music deeply while enjoying the learning process.
Lessons include tone building, breathing exercises, finger technique, rhythm control, and expressive performance. I encourage improvisation and creative practice so students develop confidence and individuality in their playing. Real-life examples help students see how techniques work in real performances.
To improve learning effectiveness, I use recording analysis, play-along practice, and goal-based lesson planning. Music theory, ear training, and sight-reading are also included to support overall musical growth.
I maintain a calm and supportive learning environment. My goal is to help students enjoy saxophone learning while becoming skilled, confident, and expressive musicians.

My teaching approach for Saxophone focuses on clear understanding, creativity, and steady improvement. I believe students learn best when lessons are simple, structured, and encouraging. I begin by teaching strong fundamentals such as correct posture, breathing control, embouchure formation, finger coordination, tone quality, articulation, and rhythm accuracy. Each topic is explained clearly and practised using easy exercises and real musical examples.
Creativity is encouraged from the beginning. Students are guided to explore sound, learn songs they enjoy, and try basic improvisation. This helps them express themselves and stay motivated. As a mentor, I support students patiently, helping them build confidence and develop a positive attitude towards learning music.
Critical thinking is developed by teaching students how to listen carefully, understand mistakes, and fix them using the right techniques. Accountability is maintained through clear practice routines, regular feedback, and progress tracking. Along with Saxophone, I also teach Music Theory, Rhythm Training, Ear Training, and Scale Practice to support overall musical growth.
