About Elena
I graduated from the University of St. Thomas with a degree in Cell and Molecular Biology and minor in Neuroscience. After graduating, and currently, I work in research as an assistant in Neuroscience, Genetics, and Molecular Biology related topics. Part of my experience has been in teaching students who come to our lab and training them in the concepts necessary for our application to research projects and protocols. My education and real-world experience have given me a strong grasp of these topics and their application, and that is what I to offer you now!

I take time to breakdown the complex concepts and make sure every level of understanding is complete. I believe in a student-led lesson approach, where I am there to guide and assist while letting the student make their way to the conclusion and feel confident in their understanding. I guide with provoking questions and general concepts that the student applies to specific situations, leading to confidence in their mastery of a new topic.
