Cristina is a cellist I’ve had the pleasure of working with both as an ensemble partner as well as a teacher.

I’ve known Cristina since our Master’s at the Royal College of Music and have been a fan of her playing since the beginning. She is one of the few musicians I know who, after graduating, still strives to continually perfect her craft. As a result she has overcome some challenging aspects of cello playing and is a skilled and masterful cellist today, strong in both performance and pedagogy, able to help gifted cellists overcome similar struggles. I know her to also specialise in helping cellists who suffer from playing-related injuries ie. tendinitis and RSI.

I am so grateful and honoured to play cello and piano duo as well as piano trio with her. I have also formerly taken cello lessons with her for a brief period during our studies together. She is a teacher who knows exactly how to train students in the right way and she considers each individual’s hands and body and how these relate to the instrument. She is responsible and takes great care to ensure that students are improving in a healthy manner. Serious cello students who want to see real progress would hugely benefit from being her student.
