About Jonathan
After graduating with my Master's degree from the Royal Academy of Music in London, I was offered a fellowship and have given teaching sessions in the junior department of RAM. Also, I have been doing music education workshops for young people at Wigmore Hall. I have been teaching private lessons since I was a Bachelor student and have encountered a huge variety of students. I always believe that the balance of personal growth and technical aspects is the key for the student to improve. Apart from teaching, I have been performing as a member with the award-winning string quartet Asaka Quartet for the past 4 years and am currently an artist in residence at Wolfson College in Oxford University. I am also active in orchestral playing, currently freelancing with Philharmonia and Opera Hong Kong.

Lessons will focus both ways: Personal Growth There will be a safe environment for them to explore their creativity and the joy in music making. Making music as one of the key parts of their life in expressing themselves. Technical improvement Will be using different methods like scales and etudes that are carefully chosen to fit the needs. ABRSM examination can be a good way to provide targets for students to achieve, which I have experienced in for more than 10 years.
