About Ava
I have been teaching music for around two years altogether, accumulating experience in both solo and ensemble teaching. I started to give private cello lessons in 2022, was a volunteer music tutor at Beverly Vista Middle School during the 2024-25 school year, and currently coach Westside Youth Orchestra junior group, on top of being a private instructor. Aside from teaching, I have been playing cello for 14 years, six of which I spent studying at the Colburn Community School. I am currently the first chair cellist of Westside Youth Orchestra as well, with whom I am currently entering my fifth year.

Hello! My name is Ava Benayoun, a cello teacher based in Los Angeles! I focus on teaching young beginner and intermediate musicians, balancing music fundamentals and preparing young musicians to excel in both solo and ensemble performances. I aim to not only teach students, but to make learning as fun and accessible as possible for all involved.
