Methodology

I use a learner-centered approach to teaching that focuses on meaning as the most important function of language: if you can't be understood, it doesn't matter if you got the grammar correct. I will use Cambridge texts or work with students on their conversational ability, depending on the need of the student. Though learner-centered approaches give a lot of room to the learner, I believe in bringing in structure to the lesson, setting achievable goals with my students before tutoring begins.
