About Aida

The students I have taught have had a great experience and I can provide references from some of the students I’ve taught. They’ve reported improvements in reading and listening comprehension, grammar, fluency, PRONUNCIATION/ARTICULATION. I’m very passionate about working with students who would like to modify and/or improve their accent, whether it is to be understood more easily or to just sound more “natural”.

About the lesson

I have a bachelor’s degree in French from the University of Texas at Austin, a minor in Spanish, the CELTA (Cambridge certificate) certificate which qualifies me to teach English to adults (obtained a “Pass B”, which is an “above standard” grade).
My method? I tailor each lesson based on the individual’s specific needs, whether it is to improve your grammar, modify your accent (phonology) so that you can improve your pronunciation for either personal or professional purposes, speaking practice, reading comprehension, listening comprehension and more!

Details

The base rate is $35 for a written, speaking practice, listening and reading skills lesson. Accent modification classes begin at $40, depending on your needs. Travel rates would vary depending on traveled distance. If meeting in the downtown, midtown, Washington Ave. areas, no extra fees added. Rates are also negotiable depending on whether it would be a private (one on one) lesson or if you are interested in and would like to take group lessons, whether with other friends you know or if I can get more people in the same group/time/location.
