About Natalia

I am a CELTA-qualified English teacher with 15 years of experience giving private English lessons to adult learners. I particularly enjoy working with beginners and helping people who may initially feel nervous or unsure about speaking English.

I am patient and approachable, and I like finding simple ways to explain things that may at first seem complicated. One of the most rewarding parts of teaching for me is seeing a beginner gradually become more confident and realise that they can communicate in English.

I am a native Russian speaker based in London and speak English and French fluently. I also understand Spanish and Italian at an intermediate level. I have always been interested in languages and in finding practical ways to help people learn them.

I believe adults learn best when they feel comfortable asking questions and are not afraid of making mistakes. My aim is to make lessons useful, encouraging and enjoyable, while helping each student progress at a pace that works for them.

About the lesson

My lessons are friendly, practical and particularly suited to adult beginners. I enjoy working with people who are just starting to learn English, including those who may feel nervous about speaking or who have very little English at the moment.

I am a CELTA-qualified English teacher with previous experience teaching English as a second language to adults from different backgrounds.

Lessons are adapted to your individual level, goals and interests. We can work on speaking, listening, pronunciation, vocabulary, reading and practical grammar, with an emphasis on English that you can actually use in everyday situations.

I am a native Russian speaker and speak English and French fluently. If your first language is Russian or French, I can use it when necessary to explain something that would otherwise be difficult to understand, particularly at the beginning. As your English improves, we can gradually use more and more English during our lessons.

I also understand Spanish and Italian at an intermediate level. Although I do not teach through these languages, this knowledge can sometimes help me understand the difficulties Spanish- and Italian-speaking learners encounter when learning English.

My aim is to create a relaxed and encouraging environment where you feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and trying to express yourself. You do not need to worry if your English is very limited — we can start with what you know and build from there, one step at a time.

Lessons are available online and in London.
