I hold a Bachelor of Commerce and have worked in professional services (consulting) as well as within the Australian Public Service. As a teacher, I hold a Cambridge CELTA and have tutored students in English and Maths for several years in both paid and voluntary positions. I am passionate about language study and helping students to reach their goals in English.

I completed a Cambridge CELTA (English language teaching qualification) in 2021 and have several years of experience tutoring English and Maths. I also hold a Bachelor of Commerce. Over the years I have studied several languages (I speak Arabic at B2 level), and I have a good understanding of the challenges that students face while learning a foreign language.
I tailor lessons according to the student's needs and language goals. I can provide lessons that focus on exam preparation (e.g. IELTS) or target General English skills, including literacy skills, vocabulary and grammar. I am also able to provide lessons that focus on English language for the workplace and business purposes.
Where possible, I like to plan lessons that draw on authentic English materials. My lessons are student-focused, to get the most value out of our time in class together, with optional preparation / homework tasks that can be completed outside of class.
I have tutored adults, teenagers and children, from beginners to upper-intermediate. I am happy to arrange face-to-face lessons depending on location, or can deliver lessons online.
