About Alina
I'm Alina, a foreign languages freak. So, as you might have already figured out, I'm deeply passionate about linguistics and education. You might also find me running or biking out there somewhere, hiking or just chilling with some good music, books or podcasts about psychology, neuroscience, teaching and learning design.
I've been teaching Business English since February 2019 and Romanian to speakers of other languages for more than five years.
A lifelong learner with a deep interest in continuous professional development, I hold an MA degree in Teaching Languages focusing on English and Romanian as foreign languages. However, I have a BA from the Faculty of Foreign Languages and Literatures (University of Bucharest) in English, German and Portuguese to Romanian translation and interpreting. In addition, I've been a learner myself in B2 Spanish at the Cervantes Institute in Bucharest.
Learning is a two-way street, while languages open doors to new worlds. And these are only two of the reasons why I love what I do!

I teach Romanian as a foreign language or second language for all levels, from absolute beginner to advanced, general, survival, business or Romanian for citizenship.
I'm in love with communicative teaching, task-based learning and Dogme teaching, focusing on all four skills: speaking, listening reading, and writing.
I can help you learn Romanian through English, Spanish, Portuguese and German language...or not - just by diving into this beautiful language Romanian is. And trust me, it isn't challenging to learn as long as you've got some knowledge about languages in general, particularly Romance languages. But even if you don't, there are some handy tricks I can teach you to remember the not-so-pleasant aspects of this language (such as the noun case system - 5 cases, to be exact). Other than that, exposure to the language according to your own needs and interests will do the rest of the work.
