About Shatoyia
With a passion for life, Yahweh, learning, education, philosophy, travel, fashion, and the arts (writing, film, etc.), I am what you would call jack-of-all trades--expert of some and dabble in a ton. My work is informed by a foundation of years of experience, positive reviews, referrals, significant results, trusted relationships with clientele, thorough, hands-on and ongoing research and, as a result, an extensive resume. I am currently entering my 2nd year as CC, Senior Editor, and Director of Recruitment, Budget, Event Planning, and Social Media for Her Campus Amherst, Extracurricular and Leadership Consultant for Crimson Education, and my 3rd year as Mentor for global literacy program Reader to Reader. With 10+ years of combined professional and unprofessional non-profit, volunteer, faith-based ministry and outreach work, entrepreneurial, mentoring, advising, leadership, tutoring, and writing experience, 5+ years of combined general consulting experience, 2+ years of education, leadership, and project development/management consultancy with Crimson Education, and soon-to-be alumni of Amherst College, you can be rest-assured that you are in critical, strategic, and analytically competent hands of an expert and leader who genuinely cares not only about making your startup, business, organization, or project successful, but creating a foundation of transparency and ethical consistency with clients.

I first get to know my client, figure out how my client learns (visually, audibly, etc.), and test his/her fluency level before proceeding to create a curriculum that will allow for the client to learn a language in the time he/she wants and in accordance with his/her learning style and proficiency levels. I assign short small assignments, and we have conversational practice as well.
