About Steven
I am an experienced teacher and am certified in English, English as a Second Language, and Social Studies. As a student teacher, I taught Geography, US Government, and Economics at the high school level. I have spent the bulk of my teaching career teaching English as a Second Language at the middle school level, pushing into Social Studies, Science, Math, and Science classes and developing individual learning plans for the English Language Learners on my caseload. This August, I will begin teaching Geography and English as a Second Language at Pleasant Grove Jr. High in Pleasant Grove, UT. I am also an experienced ACT/SAT prep tutor.

I have taught English as a Second Language more than any other subject. I am skilled and experienced in finding the strengths and areas of growth for each of my English Learners. I love getting to know my students and helping them reach their highest potential. I start my relationship with my students by getting to know them, their needs, and their goals, and designing my learning plan based on this experience. While this process is especially applicable for English Language Learners, it is how I go about tutoring all of my students.
