About Consuelo
English teacher wanting to teach Spanish? I am a certified English teacher living in Miami with the aim of learning/knowing about the american culture and also sharing mine. I am from Ecuador, so my native language is spanish. I have experience in teaching another language, I know how intimidating it can be to put ourselves in the process but I know it is worthy and self rewarding. I can define myself as an approachable and optimistic teacher, willing to achieve the main language students' goal, communicate!

I have an academic formation about all the teaching approaches that have existed (grammar translation, direct method, audio lingual method) and I know that each of them have their aspects that can be useful in a class, but I am more focused on activities that make students actually talk, because, nowadays, in real life ,that is what matters most.
