About Sarah
I am a NC certified k-12 Art Teacher. I have been teaching for 6 years in public and public charter schools. Taught ages 3 and up. I hold a BFA in studio art and a BFA in art education, both from East Carolina University.

I am someone who loves art in all of its forms. I have inclusive experience in performance and fine arts. I have taught clarinet, music and art appreciation, stage design, stage makeup design, costume design, general art, observational drawing, illustration, and graphic design.
I like to start by watching/listening to my students to get a good idea of where their base knowledge is and where their interests lie. I like for lessons to develop naturally with minimal planning. Art concepts have a fluidity where one concept can easily flow into another based on the individual student's interest.
