About Rishaal
I am a certified bilingual teacher with over 10 years of classroom experience teaching in English and French, primarily in elementary French Immersion settings. I am qualified to teach from Kindergarten through Grade 12 and have taught literacy, math, science, social studies, French, English, study skills, and life skills across diverse classrooms.
What sets me apart is my ability to build rapport while keeping learning structured and purposeful. I help students feel comfortable enough to ask questions, make mistakes, and try again. My teaching style is warm, practical, and clear, with a strong focus on confidence, understanding, and steady progress.
I also bring many years of experience supporting neurodivergent learners and students with special needs, including students with autism, ADHD, learning differences, and IEPs. I adapt my explanations, pacing, and strategies to the student in front of me so they feel respected, understood, and supported.

My lessons are structured, calm, and adapted to each student. I begin by finding out what the student already understands, where they are getting stuck, and what kind of explanation helps them learn best. From there, I build a clear plan that may include homework support, math practice, literacy strategies, French or English support, study skills, organization, and confidence-building.
A typical lesson includes a short check-in, a focused learning goal, direct teaching, guided practice, independent or supported work, and a quick review of what improved. I use step-by-step explanations, visuals, examples, discussion, and practical strategies so students do not just finish the work — they understand the thinking behind it.
These lessons are ideal for students in Grades 3–10, especially ages 8–14, who need support with math, homework, academic confidence, organization, or catching up after falling behind. I also work well with French Immersion learners, students with ADHD or autism, and students who need a patient, encouraging adult to help them feel capable again.
