About Pukun

I am a certified Chinese tutor with a professional, patient, and goal-oriented teaching style. I hold the CTCSOL certificate and have experience teaching both children and adults, including complete beginners and professionals who need Chinese for work, travel, or daily communication.

With years of practical English experience in international companies, I am able to teach in both English and Mandarin, which helps students feel comfortable and supported, especially at the beginner level. My lessons are well-structured, interactive, and tailored to each student’s needs, so learners can make steady progress with confidence.

I place great importance on clear explanations, correct pronunciation, and practical communication. About the lesson

I focus on making Chinese easy to understand and enjoyable to use.

Teaching Method and Techniques
I use different methods depending on the student’s level and goals, including:

Pinyin and pronunciation training for beginners
Situational dialogues for daily life, work, or travel
Step-by-step speaking practice to improve confidence
Vocabulary building through themes
Character learning with simple memory tips and cultural background
Business Chinese practice for meetings, clients, and workplace communication

I also use encouragement and repetition in a natural way, so students can speak more confidently without feeling pressured.

A typical lesson usually includes:
Warm-up and review
Learning new words or sentence patterns
Pronunciation and speaking practice
Role-play or real-life conversation practice
Summary and homework or review suggestions
For beginners, lessons are simple, clear, and highly interactive. For more advanced students, I include deeper conversation, structured speaking, reading, or topic-based discussion.
