About Jill

Helping young learners gain confidence and succeed in school is my passion. I have been teaching second grade for 25 years, and I truly love what I do. Supporting students as they grow in reading and math — especially those who are struggling — is the most rewarding part of my career. I am a patient, encouraging teacher who creates a calm and supportive learning environment where children feel safe to try, make mistakes, and build confidence. I believe every child can succeed with the right support and individualized instruction. I am also a parent of two children, ages 17 and 20, which gives me valuable insight into the learning process from both a teacher’s and a parent’s perspective. Outside of the classroom, I enjoy spending time with my dog, Koda, who keeps me smiling and active. My goal is simple: to help your child feel confident, capable, and proud of their progress.
