About Theo

I am a dedicated ESL tutor with 12+ years of experience teaching high school and college students, focused on helping learners achieve fluency, confidence, and academic success. My teaching philosophy centres on personalised learning, where lessons are carefully designed to align with each student’s goals, strengths, and learning style.

I combine structured grammar and vocabulary instruction with speaking, reading, writing, and listening exercises, using real-life scenarios and interactive practice to make learning practical and engaging.

About the lesson

My ESL teaching methodology emphasises Creativity, Communication, Compassion, and Problem-solving (C³P). Creativity is encouraged through storytelling, role-plays, and project-based activities that allow students to explore English imaginatively and express themselves confidently.

Communication is reinforced through discussions, debates, and collaborative exercises that strengthen fluency, listening, and comprehension skills. Compassion ensures lessons are student-centred, personalised to individual learning styles, and supported with guidance, encouragement, and feedback.

Problem-solving is embedded in lessons via scenario-based exercises, practical tasks, and critical thinking challenges, enabling students to apply English skills practically while enhancing reasoning abilities. I also cover related subjects such as reading comprehension, writing, and vocabulary development for a holistic learning experience.

This approach develops learners who are confident, creative, empathetic, and capable of using English effectively in academic, professional, and everyday contexts.
