About Alison

I am a certified Chinese teacher, writer, and book translator with a Master’s degree in Education and a Bachelor’s degree in English Literature. Teaching has always been my passion. I design customized lesson plans based on each student’s learning style and goals, ensuring that every class is engaging, effective, practical, and enjoyable.
I currently teach Mandarin part‑time both online and at a local language school. Outside the classroom, I enjoy reading, watching movies, playing the Chinese instrument Guzheng, and traveling.

About the lesson

Instruct heritage and non‑heritage learners ranging from high school students to working adults.

Create lesson plans aligned with the 5 Cs of the World‑Readiness Standards: Communication, Culture, Connections, Comparisons, and Communities.

Incorporate diverse teaching methods to build an engaging, collaborative, and student‑centered learning environment that supports and extends students’ learning.
