About Kaylee

As a certified teacher with a degree in Education, specializing in Math and Science from Texas A&M University, I am passionate about making learning both engaging and rewarding. With my experience as a classroom teacher and coach for track, basketball, and soccer, I know how to inspire students to push themselves and reach their full potential, whether in the classroom or on the field.

I believe in the power of hands-on learning and strive to make every lesson interactive and fun. My approach combines clear explanations, practical examples, and real-world applications, all while creating a positive and supportive learning environment. Whether we’re solving math problems or exploring the wonders of science, my goal is to help students build confidence and develop a love for learning.

Outside the classroom, I’m a huge fan of country music and enjoy bringing that passion into my teaching style—using music to motivate and connect with students. I am committed to helping students succeed and grow, both academically and personally, while ensuring that each lesson is as enjoyable as it is educational.

As a certified 4-8 Math and Science teacher with classroom experience, my tutoring approach is rooted in creating a supportive, interactive, and engaging learning environment. I focus on building strong relationships with my students, understanding their unique needs, and tailoring lessons to their specific learning styles.

My Teaching Method and Techniques
I use a combination of hands-on activities, real-world examples, and technology to make complex math and science concepts relatable. I break down each concept step-by-step and encourage active problem-solving, so students can build confidence in their skills. I integrate formative assessments, such as quizzes or quick exercises, to gauge progress and adjust my teaching approach accordingly.

A Typical Lesson Plan
Each lesson begins with a brief review of the previous material, followed by a clear explanation of the new topic. I incorporate visual aids, interactive activities, and guided practice to help students grasp concepts effectively. I provide time for independent work to reinforce learning, and we wrap up the lesson with a summary and a set of practice problems to solidify the concepts for the next session. I also encourage students to ask questions and provide feedback, fostering an open, collaborative learning environment.

What Sets Me Apart as a Tutor
What makes me unique as a tutor is my hands-on approach to teaching and my ability to explain difficult concepts in a simple, digestible manner. My classroom experience enables me to recognize common struggles students face and adapt my teaching to their needs. I am passionate about making learning fun and relevant, and I’m dedicated to helping my students succeed both academically and personally. I also take the time to provide students with study tips and strategies for long-term success, so they can retain the material even beyond our lessons.

Who the Lessons Are For
These lessons are designed for students in grades 4–8 who need extra help with Math and Science, whether it’s to improve their grades, prepare for standardized tests, or get ahead in their studies. I work with students at various levels, from those struggling with foundational concepts to those aiming for advanced knowledge. These sessions are also perfect for students who benefit from a personalized, one-on-one tutoring experience.
