About the lesson

My approach as a tutor is centered on understanding first, memorization second. I focus on helping students truly grasp concepts so they can apply them confidently in new situations, not just repeat steps.

Teaching method and techniques:
I use a step-by-step, concept-based approach combined with real examples and guided practice. I start by identifying gaps in understanding, then break topics into simple, manageable parts. I ask questions throughout the lesson to keep students engaged and thinking actively. I also connect math concepts to patterns and logic so they make sense instead of feeling random. When needed, I adapt my explanation style (visual, verbal, or problem-solving) depending on how the student learns best.

Typical lesson plan:
A session usually begins with a quick review of previous material or homework. Then I introduce the new concept with a clear explanation and a few examples. After that, we work through problems together, gradually increasing difficulty. I encourage students to explain their thinking as they solve problems. We finish with independent practice and a short recap to reinforce the key ideas. I often assign targeted practice to strengthen weak areas.
